This was probably my most favorite Valentine's yet. Not because it was super extravagant, but because Luis and I actually got to spend some one on one time together, just enjoying the company. As romantic as restaurants can be, you still don't get complete privacy.

Cherish watched Olivia for us, so she and Cam had their own little date.

We decided to make spaghetti and meatballs.

We set the table complete with candles, wine, and flowers.

We had chocolate covered strawberries (from Olivia's school fundraiser) and cake pops (that I made on Monday) for dessert.

After dinner we hung out on the back patio until Cherish brought Livi home.

I feel like Luis and I have really grown as a couple the past few months or so. I'm not sure if it's just because we're getting older, or because we're planning the wedding, or what, but I'm so happy to be where we are. This was our 6th Valentine's to spend together and I'm thankful it was so special to us.

P.S. I've started eating meat again because for the last couple months my food allergies have been kind of bizarre. It was getting harder and harder to make meals I could eat and enjoy, so I made the decision to start eating meat again. I do try to buy as much organic meat as possible.

First sleepover.

Olivia got to have her first real sleepover with a friend on Saturday. Camden spent the night with us and the two had a blast.

We went to the park and flew Olivia's new kite.

Went on the slides.

Then we went home for dinner.

They both did so great, so Sunday morning we went to get donuts.

Fun day.

On Tuesday, a couple friends and I took the kids to Sea Center Texas (a local aquarium) and to the park. We had originally just planned on doing Sea Center, but they got rid of the sharks. How lame.

Ashlyn brought her niece, Chloe, and it was so nice seeing Olivia interacting with a girl! I'm definitely going to make an effort for them to get together more often.

After the park, Luis took Olivia, Aaron, and I out to lunch.

By then, the kids were exhausted and ready for a nap.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Happy List

Currently making me happy:

1. Luis. I honestly don't think anyone else could put up with the weirdness that is me.

2. Breaking Bad. I'm so addicted. We're half way through season 4 and will be anxiously waiting for season 5 to start.

3. The crazy things Olivia says. I was showing her pictures from my pregnancy and explaining to her how she used to be in my belly and she said, "I go in there. I get my jacket." Ha.

4. Coffee. Do I mention that every time?

5. Color. I've gone from loving nothing but neutrals to being obsessed with brights. I've noticed it's hard to stay pissed off with yellow flowers in front of you.

6. Wedding planning. I can't wait for the big day!

7. Being a family. There's no one else I'd rather spend my days with. Luis and Olivia are amazing.
