Story Time

Yesterday Olivia and I attended our local library's story time.
Luckily for us, it just happened to be National Popcorn Day as well.
The kids were read two stories about popcorn,
sang and danced to a couple of songs,
and then got to do a few popcorn crafts while eating popcorn.
Seriously, Olivia was in heaven.
Unfortunately we found out that it was their last Tuesday
and it would be switching to Wednesdays from here on out.
Olivia has school on Wednesdays, so that doesn't work for us.
I think we're going to have to go to Lake Jackson's story time
next week because Olivia loved it that much.
I'm so glad we finally went!

Leija Littles

{ Olivia }

1. Olivia loves puzzles and matching games.
Cherish and Cam bought her a Minnie Mouse matching game for Christmas
and she makes me play it with her at least 5 times a day.
2. Lately she's been wanting me to tell her spooky stories before bed.
They usually involve her, Aaron, and Isaiah running from
monsters and ghosts and then daddy coming to save the day.
She is so strange.
3. When something is hard for her to do on her own
she tells us,
"A little help here, guys!"
4. Her current favorite movie is Peter Pan.
I tried getting her to like it for the longest time and had no luck
and then all of a sudden it's all she wants to watch.
5. This girl is obsessed with waffles.
She'd eat them all day if I'd let her.
They're what she eats for breakfast almost every day at the moment.
She's definitely her daddy's daughter.
(PS- When will this girl start smiling normally?)

{ Lola }

Livi decided she needed in the pictures.

1. I'm currently 31 weeks and 4 days.
2. This past week I've been cramping a bit.
One night it lasted for well over an hour and I was starting to get worried.
I checked my iPregnancy app the next morning
and it said that cramping is normal at this point.
Joy.
3. The crazy pregnancy dreams I was having during the first trimester are back.
I seriously dream about the craziest things.
Zombies, boob jobs, alien dinosaurs.
At least they're entertaining, I guess.
4. I've been getting light headed again.
That's not that uncommon for me,
but it has even been happening when I'm sitting down and driving
so I'm definitely going to bring it up at my appointment tomorrow.
5. My food allergies all of a sudden seem to be much better.
I've been eating grapes, eggs, Nutella a few other things
with little to no reaction.

Sunday.

Sunday we spent doing yard work must of the morning
and early afternoon.
Our backyard was in horrible condition
so we basically just racked the leaves and organized
some of the accumulated mess.
Aaron came over and kept Olivia company while we worked.
I know I've said this a million times,
but I'm so so glad Olivia has cousins she's close to.
Even though they have their moments that make me want to pull out my hair,
they really are the best of friends.

After we finished with the yard,
we got ready and headed to Olivia and Aaron's
friend Austin's birthday party at Chuck E Cheese.

The birthday boy.

This one cracks me up. She got caught trying to get ice cream
out of the vending machine.

Auto Show 2013

Yesterday we went to the Houston Auto Show.
Luis and I have gone every year since we started dating,
minus last year.
I'm not going to post tons of pictures of cars,
that's more Luis's thing.
But here are a few from our day.

Waiting on the rest of our party to arrive.

They loved that it didn't have doors.

So thankful Olivia napped.

The whole group.

See ya next year, Auto Show.

Currently:

Our handsome Jack

Watching: Kourtney and Kim Take Miami. I'll admit it, sometimes I like ridiculous reality TV shows and the Kardashians just happen to be one of those. I watch every single season, you know all 5 that come on every year. And I love it. I'm not ashamed. Honestly, I'm just glad one of my shows is back on. I've been so tired of watching football 24/7.

Thinking about: How incredibly lucky and in love I am. I don't like to say stuff like that often, because I feel like people that are always gushing about their significant other are trying to make up for something that's lacking somewhere in the relationship, you know? But I really am just so happy. Luis and I have never been in a better place. I feel so blessed to be able to hang out with my best friend every day and that we just totally get each other, because honestly, we're so weird and I doubt anyone else would appreciate all the weirdness we both have to offer, so it's nice to have each other. Ha. Not to mention he's such a good daddy to Olivia and I know Lola is going to love him just as much as her sister does.

Listening to: Regina Spektor stations on Pandora and Songza. I've heard her newest album is really good for a while, but I'm far too cheap and too lazy to download it, so this will do for now. :)

Excited about: The weekend! It should be a good one. At some point we're hoping to take Olivia fishing since she's been begging us for a couple days now. She's never been, so I don't know why she's interested all of a sudden, but it should be a fun experience for her. We're also going to the Houston auto show on Saturday morning and then we have a birthday party for one of Olivia's little friends on Sunday.

Reading:  Still reading Water for Elephants. I haven't put a huge dent in it, but it is getting better. I went to the library this morning after dropping Olivia off at school, hoping to pick up a new book, but they're closed on Fridays. I had no idea. Most random thing ever.

Eating:  We're trying to get back to eating healthier. I'm normally all about eating healthy and make it a huge priority, but pregnancy does crazy things to me. I hate that I eat like crap when I'm pregnant. We went grocery shopping last night and got lots of fruits and veggies, so hopefully I can get back to my old habits before baby comes!

Ready for Spring

Today has been so beautiful
that we decided to spend some time outdoors
and finally use some of the chalk Olivia got for Christmas.

I love that I get to spend my days with this girl
Especially days like today.

Leija Littles

{ Olivia }

1. Lately she loves for me to rub her belly softly at night.
Like, when you barely drag your fingers over your skin and
it really tickles? Yeah, that's how she likes to fall asleep.
2. Her new favorite activity is to build castles.
She gets pretty much all the pillows in the house
and makes a large rectangle with them on the floor
and then fills the space with books and toys.
I clean up at least 3 "castles" a day.
3. The other day she was having one of her three year old tantrums.
She got herself so worked up that when I told her to stop crying
she said, "I know, but I can't stop!" Haha.
I think all girls have had a moment like that.
4. She seems to live off of macaroni and cheese
and spaghettios lately.
Not one of my proudest mothering moments.
5. Earlier today she told me, "Cam likes crocodiles and sharks.
I like rabbits and unicorns." Ha. The stuff she comes up with.

{ Lola }

1. I'm currently 30 weeks and 4 days.
2. At my doctor appointment last Wednesday
I found out she's already head down.
Olivia was already head down at this point as well.
3. I start having appointments every 2 weeks now.
I seriously cannot believe that I'll be meeting this baby
so soon!
4. I've gained a total of 19 pounds so far.
Seven were in the past month. Whoops.
5. The peeing is starting to get out of control.
I have to go ALL the time.
I thought Olivia really screwed up my bladder,
but Lola is giving her a run for her money. Ugh.

And Gabby turns 18!

Saturday was also our niece Gabby's 18th birthday.
Everyone stuck around after Isaiah's party
and cooked and had a cake for Gabby.

We love you, Gabby!
Can't believe you're an adult now!
