Leija Littles

{ Olivia }

1. She has finally started smiling for pictures again.
Just not this one.
2. She picks the weirdest combinations of foods
to eat for meals.
Today she wanted spaghettios and oatmeal.
3. She keeps asking me for ballerina shoes and dresses.
I just need to suck it up and put her in dance already.
4. She is such an animal lover.
She fell in love with a kitten at the SPCA the other day
and bawled when we left without it.
5. She's been waking up earlier than normal lately.
It doesn't matter what time she goes to sleep at night,
she's up by 7-7:15 most almost every morning.

{ Lola }

1. I'm currently 35 weeks and 4 days.
2. I've been having Braxton Hicks daily.
Hopefully that's a sign my body is getting ready!
3. I'm getting so anxious to meet her.
I daydream about it constantly.
4. I feel as though I've "dropped."
A few people have even commented and said it looks
as though I have.
That would explain all the pressure I'm having.
5. This weekend we'll put the car seat together
and start packing hospital bags.
I cannot believe it's getting so close!

Family Pictures

I decided I wanted some family pictures
of the three of us
before we become a family of four.
On Saturday, we went to downtown Freeport
and had Maria snap a few.
Considering that they're not professional,
I'm still so in love with the few good ones that we got.

Not bad for 15 minutes, right?

Grand Day

Today Olivia's school had a day for the grandparents to come visit.
She was so excited to have Mimi show up!

The planted little seeds for the grandparents to take home.

(This was the first time I realized how much taller Olivia
is than most of her classmates!)

Thanks for coming, Mimi!

Leija Littles

{ Olivia }

1. Olivia fought off some kind of bug the past couple days.
Last night was her first night not running a fever in 3 days.
So glad to have my happy girl back.
2. She told me that her cough made her have a broken heart.
3. Something she says often now:
"That's what best friends do!"
4. She's been letting me blow dry her hair lately.
(Not that you can tell from the pictures above.)
But when I do, it's so long and pretty!
5. She's getting a little better about eating healthy foods.
Mostly because I've cut way back on what snacks
I'm buying for the house.
She knows that if she wants a snack it pretty much has to be fruit.

{ Lola }

1. I'm currently 34 weeks and 4 days.
2. The heartburn I've been having is out of control.
I'm having to prop myself up super high just to sleep at night.
And everything gives me heartburn now,
not just tomato sauces like at first.
3. Lola is moving less,
which I know is to be expected since she's running out of room.
4. I've been dreaming about labor pretty much every night.
She always looks like Olivia did as a newborn in my dreams.
5. We've been getting everything ready.
We purchased a car seat and bassinet
and we're going to get her dresser this week.
I have all the clothes I need for now,
so I think all we need are some bibs and a few other small necessities.

(We found ourselves in downtown today with no camera.
Ugh. So these slightly photoshopped
iPhone pictures will have to do for today.)

McLean Park

I love when the weather is nice and we can spend some time at the park.
Today we took Otis,
as well as Luke, Ari, Matt, and Aaron.

Valentine's Day

We started off Thursday morning with Cinnamon Roll Waffles
that I had found on Pinterest.
Basically, you buy a can of cinnamon rolls,
put a few in the waffle maker together,
and BAM!
They were delicious.

I set out the gifts for Livi and Luis before waking them up.
Olivia got a book, pajamas, a new shirt,
and body spray because she's been wanting
perfume like mama. :)
Luis's isn't pictured,
but I just got him a shirt from Gap
and a super cheesy, romantic card. Ha.

We met Ashlyn, Isaiah, and Zaiden at McDonald's for lunch.
Talk about a classy V-day ;)
The kids got to play and eat, so of course they enjoyed it.

Olivia and I got to accompany Luis on some work errands in the afternoon.
I noticed everyone on Instagram and Facebook posting their daughters'
Valentine's outfits.
Olivia's looks NOTHING like theirs. Haha.
No tutus and frills in this house.

Olivia wore her new pajamas to bed.
She really did not want me to take a picture though.

Luis and I rarely do fancy Valentine's dates.
This year, we decided on a breakfast date while Olivia was at school.

Just for my own records, our previous dates have been:
2007- just exchanging gifts.
2008- Dinner at Kona Grill.
2009- Dinner at the hospital cafeteria while visiting Luis's grandma.
2010- Dinner at Cafe Annice with little baby Livi.
2011- Dinner at Kona Grill again.
2012- Made dinner together at home.
